Every full roof restoration we do is covered by a 15-year warranty, signed on your quote. This page says what that actually means: what's covered, what you need to do to keep it, what it doesn't cover, and how to make a claim if something isn't right.
The warranty period begins on the date your roofing project is completed and runs for 15 years. It covers our workmanship and the materials we install, and it's written into the paperwork you sign, so it doesn't depend on anyone remembering a conversation.
Kili & Cousins is committed to providing roofing services and materials that comply with Australian standards. We take pride in the work and we stand behind it.
During the warranty period we repair or replace, at our discretion, any defect in materials or workmanship that comes about as a direct result of our roofing services, at no charge to you. That includes, and isn't limited to:
If water is getting in because of how we did the work, we come back and fix it.
Problems in the structure that trace back to what we did on your roof.
Any other roofing problem that is a direct result of our services, including defective materials we installed.
Where a claim is covered you're entitled to repair or replacement of defective materials we installed, and rectification of workmanship defects found during the period. The choice between repairing and replacing is made by us.
A warranty on a roof assumes the roof gets looked after. There are two things you're responsible for, and neither is hard.
You look after the roof the way any roof needs looking after, in line with Australian roofing standards.
Inspections are arranged and paid for by you, carried out by a licensed and qualified roofing professional.
No warranty covers everything, and we'd rather you read the limits here than find them in a claim. These are the exclusions, in plain words.
Damage caused by natural disasters, severe weather and acts of God isn't covered, including but not limited to:
The warranty also doesn't cover damage caused by:
Ring us first, then put it in writing. Notice has to reach us in writing within 30 days of you discovering the issue.
Email or write to us describing what the issue is and when you found it. Phone us as well if it's urgent, on 0477 690 257.
Where it applies, provide proof of the annual or regular inspections and maintenance covered above, and give us reasonable access to the property.
We inspect the roof to find the cause and extent, assess whether it's covered, and if it is we do the repairs or replacement at no cost to you for the covered works. Timing is reasonable, allowing for weather and material availability.

No. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer who contracted us for the work.
The remedies in this warranty are the exclusive remedies for a breach of it. Our liability is limited to the cost of repairing or replacing the defective roofing materials or workmanship, in line with Australian roofing standards. We aren't liable for indirect, consequential or incidental damages, or for loss of profit or loss of use, to the extent permitted by Australian law.
This warranty is governed by the laws of Australia and by the applicable Australian standards and regulations. It is the entire agreement between you and us about warranty cover, and it replaces anything agreed about warranty terms beforehand.
We can amend this warranty policy, with or without notice. Any change does not affect a warranty already granted on a completed project during its existing warranty period, so the terms you signed are the terms you keep.
Nothing on this page takes away the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. This guarantee sits on top of them.
We come out, get on the roof, and tell you exactly what it needs and what it costs. Full restorations carry the 15-year guarantee, signed on the quote before any work starts.
